Marco Roffo of Ashland, passed away on August 28, 2024, at 43 years old. Marco was born in Brighton, Massachusetts, and was the beloved son of Fernando and Cesidia Roffo of Ashland.
Marco graduated from Ashland High School in 1999 and continued his education at Northeastern University. He developed a passion for craftsmanship through his grandfather Domenico Roffo which led him to pursue a degree in civil engineering. Marco spent most of his professional career at ET&L Corp. in Stowe Massachusetts where he became co-owner. He was loved by his co-workers, and by all who knew him.
Marco leaves behind the love of his life Melanie (Meade) Roffo, of Ashland, their two sons Luca and Nico Roffo; his sister Alessandra Higgins and her husband Brian of Milton; his sister Cristina Young and her husband John of Mansfield; his brother-in-law Jason Meade and his wife Jennifer of Ashland; and father-in-law Gregory and mother-in-law Susanne Meade of Ashland. He was the loving uncle of Braeden and Avery Meade, Conor and Matteo Higgins, and Daniela and Talia Young. Marco’s love extended beyond his immediate family to many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
To know Marco was to love him. He had the greatest dimples, perfect teeth, a quick wit, and a contagious laugh. He was a family man, who found joy in spending time with those closest to him. He loved to cook large meals and comfort people with food and kind words, a trait he learned from his treasured mother. One of Marco’s greatest talents was making people feel loved and valued.
Marco was the best at everything: gardening, yard work, building things, stonework, cooking, recordkeeping, and teasing people. He was often referred to as “the golden child”, because he could do no wrong. He cherished the laughter from teaching Melanie an inappropriate Italian phrase at the dinner table. He loved a good joke, the Sunday morning newspaper, Wordle, Twitter, Dave Matthews Band, football, animals, soccer, an organized house, and time in Italy, specifically his parents’ hometown of San Donato.
Marco was everybody’s favorite and will be profoundly missed and will be forever in our hearts.
