A proud graduate of Boston University, Lynda devoted her professional life to helping others. She spent more than 20 years as Director of Therapy Services at the Evergreen Center, where she helped develop and support physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs for children with developmental disabilities.
Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her family. She was the beloved wife of Richard E. Chace and a loving mother to Andrew Chace and his life companion Diane Smith of Uxbridge, and Richard Chace of Uxbridge. She is also survived by her brother, Warren Goff and his wife of Tennessee, and her sister, Sherry Gallipeau of Somerset.
Lynda’s joy grew with the birth of her grandchildren, Ashley Donovan and her husband Connor, Tyler Chace and his companion Paige Horn, their mother Leighann Chace, and her cherished grandson Derek Chace, who predeceased her. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren, Cole and Brooke Donovan, and Mason and Ryelee Chace.
Lynda loved to travel and explore the country, having visited 49 states and Canada. She especially admired the natural beauty of Utah and Alaska. Her passion for the outdoors included camping, boating, and hiking. Lynda and her husband Dick also enjoyed square dancing, forming lifelong friendships along the way.
She also found joy in quieter pursuits such as reading, completing crossword puzzles, creating detailed travel journals and scrapbooks, and collecting bells and blue glass. Known for her generosity, Lynda freely gave her time and resources to help others.
Her faith was an important part of her life. As treasurer and a choir member at Union Church, she faithfully served her congregation and uplifted many through her dedication and voice.
