1935 - 2025
Lois’s devoted husband of 70 years, Robert F. Shannon, was lovingly by her side at the time of her passing. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and faith. She was predeceased by her cherished daughter, Laurie A. Shannon Peaslee of Westborough, and her sister, Judith (DeSantis) Kapatoes of Milford.
Lois leaves behind many beloved family members and friends, including her devoted son-in-law William A. Peaslee, close cousin Joann Costantino, brother-in-law Ernie Kapatoes, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
In her younger years, Lois enjoyed taking long walks around Milford and remained an avid bowler for much of her life, traveling with her team to competitions across the country. She dedicated her time as a volunteer at both The Milford Food Bank and Sacred Heart of Milford Parish, reflecting her deep sense of community and compassion. Known for her gracious spirit and her gift for hospitality, Lois created a beautiful home filled with love and laughter — and according to her daughter, she made the world’s best antipasto.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe Street. A funeral home service will follow at 2:00 p.m. A reception will take place at Prezo Grille & Bar in Milford at 5:00 p.m.
Flowers are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lois’s memory to the Milford Humane Society.
Lois will be remembered as a gracious, loving woman whose warmth and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
