1947 - 2026
Born in Milford, Linda was the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Corena (Paille) Lapierre. She grew up in the area and was a graduate of Nipmuc Regional High School in Mendon, maintaining lifelong ties to the community she loved.
Throughout her working years, Linda was known for her dedication and warm presence. Prior to her retirement, Linda was employed at King Ford in Milford and most recently as a secretary at Milford Regional Medical Center. Her faith played a central role in her life, and she was actively involved as a member of the Saint Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Upton MA Women’s Club and the sodality ministry.
Nothing brought Linda greater joy than time spent with her grandchildren. Linda enjoyed her grandchildren immensely, spending many hours crafting, baking, reading and gardening with them. She was happiest when they were all together. Her deep faith guided her daily life and was reflected in her generosity and compassion toward others. Her faith was very important to her which was displayed in her kindness and constant giving to those in need around her (The Motivational Gift of Helps).
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her loving children, Daniel LaBastie, Jr. and his wife Kelli of Mendon MA, Curt LaBastie and his wife Vonda of Mendon MA, Michaelle Phillips and her partner Lauren of Uxbridge MA, and Tara Burgess and her husband Eric of Greenfield, NH. She was a devoted grandmother to Danielle, Austin and his wife Michelle, Shay, Aaron, Anna, Alicia and her husband Gabe, Marybeth and her fiancé Abner, Colin, and Taylor, and she is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Linda was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Courtney Phillips, as well as her siblings, Francis Lapierre, Roger Lapierre, Florence Pope, Gerald Lapierre, Joseph Lapierre Jr., RoseMarie Horton, and Everett Lapierre.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 17, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon Street, Upton. Burial in Swan Dale Cemetery, Mendon, will be held privately with her family.
Linda’s family will greet relatives and friends in the narthex of the church from 9:45 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. prior to the Funeral Mass.
