Linda A. Wilkins, 81, of North Grafton
1944 - 2026

Lynn graduated from Archbishop Williams High School, where she excelled academically and was a standout cheerleader. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in education from Bridgewater State College and began her teaching career in Avon before continuing at Fales Elementary School in Westborough. On August 23, 1969, she married the love of her life, Jay Wilkins, and together they built a home in Westborough, raising four daughters.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Jay Wilkins. Lynn is survived by her daughters Elaine Guagnini and her husband Brian of Shrewsbury, Suzanne Wilkins of Worcester, Kathy Schnair and her husband Michael of Natick, and Melinda Whitaker and her husband John of North Kingstown, Rhode Island. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Emma and Kate Guagnini; James, Hannah, and Ryan Schnair; and Juniper and Nula Whitaker. She is also survived by her brother Bud Ruell and his wife Janet, her sister Elaine Fleming and her husband Michael, her sisters-in-law Ginny Donovan and Ann Carroll, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who felt like family.

A devoted mother and community member, Lynn was a passionate Girl Scout leader for all four of her daughters, leading countless adventures from camping trips to stage performances. She later returned to the classroom as a beloved substitute teacher in the Westborough Public Schools, where she shared her love of reading and music with generations of students. She was also a longtime member of the Westborough Community Chorus and found joy performing on stage.

Lynn treasured time with her family above all else—whether traveling with Jay, spending time in Maine, or hosting backyard gatherings. She took immense pride in her grandchildren and was their biggest cheerleader, supporting them at sporting events, performances, and milestones of all kinds.

Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Care Central VNA for their compassionate care.
