1949 - 2025
Born in Norwood on August 15, 1949, and raised in East Walpole, Massachusetts, Leon was the beloved son of the late Donald A. Hurd Sr. and Sarah (Allen) Hurd.
Leon was the proud father of Patrick Hurd, and the loving grandfather of Charleigh Hurd and Gavin Hurd, as well as the great-grandfather of Myles Stover, all of whom brought immense joy and pride into his life. He was also a cherished brother to Donald A. Hurd Jr., Carol A. MacKinnon, Dennis M. Hurd, and Richard V. Hurd.
Leon cherished every moment spent with his family — gathering for holidays, sharing stories, or simply enjoying time together. Those who knew him will remember his sense of humor, loyalty, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
He lives on through the memories, laughter, and lessons he leaves behind.
