July 6, 1950 — October 3, 2025
Born in Marlborough, MA, on July 6, 1950, Laurie was the daughter of Henry McMahon and Dorothy T. (Nichols) McMahon. She was a graduate of Nipmuc High School and later married the love of her life, Ralph, in 1968. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories while raising their family in Massachusetts and Arizona.
Laurie worked as a seamstress for many years before founding her own business, Window Expressions, where she created custom window treatments until her retirement. She was a former Upton Bloomer Girl, a board member of the Upton Council on Aging, and a devoted communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, where she sang joyfully in the choir and often provided comfort through music at parish funerals. Known for her beautiful voice and love of harmonizing, she also enjoyed karaoke, writing songs and poems, and spending time with her family and friends from the Upton Senior Center.
Laurie was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience, always meeting life’s challenges with faith, warmth, and love. She was rarely without a smile, a song, or her infectious laugh. Family was everything to her, and she lived each day with gratitude, devotion, and joy. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and courage will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her three daughters: Monica Turner and her husband Shawn of Millbury; Sheri Anderson and her husband Donnie of Upton; and Sheila Dalesio and her husband David of Milford. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Evan and Emma Turner; Nicholas and Hannah Anderson; Celia, Sophia, and Antonio Peniche; and Dylan Dalesio.
Laurie is also survived by her siblings: Mary Carmel Nevers of Phoenix, AZ; Pat Adams of Milford; Robert McMahon and his wife Charlotte of Charlton; Joe McMahon and his wife Marie of Upton; Michelle Kist and her husband Andy of Peoria, AZ; and Michael McMahon of Phoenix, AZ. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph, her parents Henry and Dorothy, and her sisters Francis Errico and Roberta “Bernie” Tebo.
Her family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at UMass University Hospital in Worcester for their exceptional care and compassion.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton.
