1987 - 2026
Kristen was born on May 17th, 1987, at Bridgeport Hospital and spent her childhood in Cheshire, Connecticut. She developed a lifelong love of swimming and was a member of the undefeated Cheshire High School swim team. She later attended Bentley University, graduating in 2009 with a degree in Marketing. Kristen was also a member of the Bentley swim team, where she became a multi-event champion and held a school record for a time.
After college, Kristen worked as an Account Manager for Epsilon before joining New Balance, where she spent 12 years. She ultimately became Head of Marketing for the North America Direct-to-Consumer division.
Kristen’s greatest joy was her family. She met her husband and soulmate, Matthew Prior, at a wedding, and they married on September 8, 2018. Together they built their home in Hopkinton and raised their two children, Judson and Hadley.
Kristen was known for her outgoing personality, sense of humor, generosity, and ability to make lasting connections with everyone she met. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Nantucket, trying new activities such as Mahjong, celebrating holidays with her family, and sharing memorable experiences with friends and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, Kristen leaves behind her husband, Matthew Prior; her children, Judson Prior, 6, and Hadley Prior, 5; her sister, Lindsay Maus, and brother-in-law, Alex Maus; and her nephews, Sawyer and Finley Maus of Rutland. She also leaves her in-laws, John and Ellen Prior of Cheshire, Connecticut; brothers-in-law Pat Prior and his wife, Kate, and Jack Prior and his wife, Allison; and nieces and nephews Quinn, Reese, Jack, Molly, and Beau, along with many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, located at 57 Hayden Rowe Street.
A funeral service will take place Saturday, September 26th at 10:00 AM at the Faith Community Church, located at 146 East Main Street in Hopkinton.
Interment will be private at a later date.
