Born on July 3, 1967, in Quincy, Kim was a devoted mother to her son Joshua D. Bressan of South Carolina and her daughter Marissa M. Reyes and her husband Luis of Connecticut. She took immense joy in her grandchildren—Jaiden, Luis Jr., Nicholas, and Noah—whom she adored. She is also survived by her brothers William McLaughlin Jr. of Florida, Bobby Hickey of Massachusetts, and David Hickey of Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her son Michael Hickey, her sister Pam Farley, and her mother Nancy Hickey. Kim’s memory will be lovingly carried forward by her daughter.
Kim was an avid reader who found comfort and escape in the pages of her favorite books. She was also known for her love of a simple treat—Hershey’s chocolate dipped in peanut butter. The ocean held a special place in her heart; the sound of the waves and the stretch of the shoreline brought her peace and grounding. Music was another constant in her life, offering joy, reflection, and companionship through the years.
