September 25th, 1942 - October 6th, 2025
After graduating high school and marrying, Ken proudly enlisted in the U.S. National Guard, where he served in artillery.
Ken was an avid reader, art enthusiast, and history buff—rarely seen without a book in hand. His curiosity and creativity shone through in all he did. He loved visiting museums, attending art festivals, and participating in model shows. A talented artist himself, Ken spent his life creating—building model airplanes as a child, painting miniature soldiers, and exploring pottery and painting, hobbies he had planned to return to in his retirement.
Ken was predeceased by his beloved wife of 46 years, Barbara “Bonnie” Barnett, who passed in June of this year. He now joins her in eternal rest. He was also predeceased by his “sister” Nancy Kohn and her husband Harvey of Hull, MA.
He leaves behind his children and those of Bonnie: his son, Barry Barnett and wife Tanya of Manhattan, NY; daughter, Deborah Barnett Rinehart and husband Kent of Red Hook, NY; daughter, Nicole Barnett DiMascola and husband Chris of Atlanta, GA; and Maria Sellman, Lisa Fosdick and her husband Charles, and Marla Maines, all of Plymouth, MA. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Jackson and Logan Rinehart, Jameson Barnett, Shane Sellman, Sofie and Sadie Fosdick, and Daniel and Cecelia Maines.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 14, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Restaurant 45, 45 Milford Street, Medway, MA.
Arrangements are under the care of Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
