1979 - 2026
Ken was born on May 28th, 1979, in Nottingham, England, and was raised in Essex, Massachusetts. He graduated from Hamilton-Wenham High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He also proudly served in the United States Navy.
Professionally, Ken owned and operated Blackstone Surveillance Investigations in Uxbridge. He had a genuine passion for surveillance work and took tremendous pride in the persistence and determination he brought to resolving every case.
Outside of work, Ken had a wide range of interests. He enjoyed reading, music, running, disc golf, bird watching, hiking, and camping with family and friends. His curiosity about the world and adventurous spirit remained important parts of his life.
Above all, Ken’s four children were the center of his world. During the final year of his life, he made it a priority to create lasting memories with each of them, both through everyday moments at home and unforgettable adventures around the world.
With his daughter Tori, Ken explored Paris, Antwerp, and Amsterdam. Tori will remember her father for encouraging her to pursue opportunities in education and her career, as well as for the sense of humor she inherited from him. She hopes to continue pursuing his dreams of traveling the world and taking on adventurous hikes.
Ken shared a love of books, music, hiking, and running with his daughter Isabela. Together, they hiked throughout the White Mountains and spent late nights discussing the books and music they loved. They also traveled together to Spain and Morocco. Isabela will remember her father for his hard work, curiosity about the world, and deep love for his family.
His son Gavin shared many of Ken’s interests, including hiking the challenging trails of the White Mountains, running, playing disc golf and Frisbee, and staying up late talking and playing chess. Their trip together to Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland, became another treasured memory. Gavin will especially remember his father’s perseverance and sense of humor.
Ken’s daughter Genevieve will remember her father reading and singing to her every night, playing board and card games together, taking neighborhood walks, and visiting the playground. She especially treasures their adventures together, including a Caribbean cruise and a trip to Nantucket.
Ken is survived by his wife, Jessica Chapman, and their children, Tori, Isabela, Gavin, and Genevieve Chapman, all of Uxbridge.
He also leaves his parents, Kenneth Chapman and his wife, Allison, of Gloucester, and Janet Tremblay and her husband, Jerry, of Page, Arizona; his sister, Hannah Reimer and her husband, Stephen, of Wyncote, Pennsylvania; his brother, Nathaniel Chapman of Massachusetts; his in-laws, Ken and Debi Smith of Hopkinton; and his brother-in-law, Justin Smith and his wife, Daron, also of Hopkinton.
Ken is also survived by his niece, Marguerite Reimer; his nephew, Josiah Reimer and his wife, Laurita; and many extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 12th, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, located at 77 Mendon Street, Uxbridge.
Burial will take place at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
