1942 - 2026
Ken was the beloved husband of June E.L. (Smith) Gray, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage, and a devoted father to Beth G. Lonergan and her husband Timothy of Douglas, and Chris P. Gray and his wife Kara, also of Douglas. He was a proud grandfather to Matthew, Christopher, and Ethan Lonergan, and Mackenzie and Owen Gray. He is also survived by his brothers, Steven Gray of Florida and Louis Gray of Arizona.
He was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Buda, and his parents, Louis and Marjorie (Webber) Gray.
Ken spent more than 40 years working as a pressman for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and the Boston Globe, where he earned the respect of his colleagues through his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. He was also an active member of the Douglas Senior Center, where he remained engaged in his community.
He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid saltwater fisherman, often spending time on Cape Cod. He also loved playing cards, especially pitch and cribbage, with family and friends.
Above all, Ken was a family man who took great pride in his grandchildren and never missed a chance to support them at their school and sporting events.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will live on with his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at a later date.
