Kathleen M. Rabatin, 79, of Whitinsville
1946 - 2026

Kathleen M. Rabatin, passed away on Monday, February 9th, just shy of her 80th birthday after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Kathy lived a full and meaningful life, marked by resilience, strength, and deep devotion to her family.

Throughout her career, Kathleen held several meaningful positions, but her favorite being Eastern Acoustic Works in Whitinsville, MA where she worked in engineering. After retiring, she continued her dedication to helping others by working at Catholic Charities, where she found great fulfillment supporting those in need.

Kathleen was a survivor of domestic abuse, and despite those hardships, she built a successful career, raised two children, and had the blessing of welcoming three grandchildren into her life. Her perseverance and courage defined her journey.

Born on February 20th, 1947 in Newport R.I. to Dolores and Roy Rabatin. Kathleen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Ashley Rabatin, and their children, Rori and Ezlyn. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and William Roderiques; her nephews, Patrick and Nick; her beloved grandson Dantae Inamorati and her favorite granddog Scully.

Kathleen was a devoted and loving mother who centered her life around her family. She had a deep appreciation for art and the outdoors and often reminisced about her childhood in Middletown, Rhode Island.

There will be no wake or funeral.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab and the team at Salmon Hospice for their compassionate care and unwavering support. Words cannot fully express their appreciation for everything done for Kathleen — they know she would feel the same.
