Born on April 9, 1942, in Waltham, Kathy was raised in Newton and graduated from Newton North High School. She went on to attend Bridgewater State College, where she studied education. Kathy began her career teaching first grade in Waltham, a role she cherished as she positively influenced the lives of countless young students.
After becoming a mother, Kathy dedicated herself to her family and the Sherborn community. She volunteered at St. Theresa's Church, supported Pine Hill School, and served as a longtime leader for Camp Fire Girls. A gifted artist like her mother, Kathy loved oil painting and shared her artistic talents with her daughter, Karen.
In 1993, Kathy married the love of her life, John William Kiley. Together they built a life filled with travel to Maine and Florida, gardening, and caring for their home. Her remarkable green thumb led her to volunteer with Holliston in Bloom, where she shared her passion for gardening and beautifying the community.
Following John's passing, Kathy devoted herself to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She enjoyed life's simple pleasures, including trips to Lowe's, Market Basket, and Walmart, where she delighted in finding new plants to add to her ever-growing gardens. Her determination, independence, and love of home remained evident throughout the many medical challenges she faced in recent years.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Ronald and Florence Morse; her brother, Ronald Morse; and her sister, Judy (Morse) McNeil.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Gulla) Aragao and her husband, Sergio, of Bellingham; her son, Michael Gulla and his wife, Kara, of Medway; her grandchildren, Alexie Gauthier-Fournier and her husband, Cole, Tristan Gauthier, Liv Gauthier, Keegan Gulla, Alanna Gulla, and Landon Gulla; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Elsie Gauthier-Fournier.
A memorial Mass will be held at Saint Mary's Church. Service details will be announced at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home.
