Joan (Long) Boudreau, 85, of Holliston
1930 - 2025

She was preceded in death by her husbands, David Long and Richard Boudreau; her sister, Vivian; and her beloved children, Virginia Thibault, Donald Long, and Peter Long. Joan is survived by her sons, Stephen Long and David Long, along with her cherished grandchildren. Among those especially dear to her were Lisa Bragdon, Jessica Thibault, Jamie Thibault, and Tanya Monteiro, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.

Music was central to Joan’s life. An avid and accomplished musician, she played both the organ and piano with remarkable skill and devotion. She served as an organist for several churches, schools, and bands, and shared her talents through piano instruction. Her love of music spanned genres and generations, and her gift brought comfort and joy to countless people throughout her life.

Joan was also a talented baker, remembered fondly for treats that brought family and friends together. She found happiness in gardening, quilting, time spent by the ocean, and caring for her pets. She delighted in birds, lighthouses, and collecting frogs—small joys that reflected her gentle spirit.

Her generosity reached well beyond her home. She spent many years delivering meals, quietly offering kindness and dignity to those in need. Joan faced life’s hardships with grace, meeting loss with quiet strength and enduring love. Though her journey was marked by sorrow, her spirit remained soft and steadfast.

Her life has now come full circle. Her journey has now ended, and she has found the peace she sought in her final years, reunited with loved ones and resting in God’s care. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those whose lives she touched.

A private graveside service will be held. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
