Jill E. Sarafinas née Holman, 68, of Hopkinton
1957 - 2026

Born in Newton, Jill was the daughter of the late Carolyn (Henderson) and Charles A. Holman. She graduated from Hopkinton Jr.-Sr. High School in 1975 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bentley University. Following graduation, Jill lived in New Jersey for 19 years before returning to Hopkinton.

A true jack of all trades, Jill possessed a wide range of talents and interests. She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed creating blankets and custom plush dolls. One of her ambitions was to work in theater costuming, where she hoped to put her sewing and creative talents to use.

Professionally, Jill built a career in accounting. Her final position was with Randstad, where she worked as an accountant for eight years before retiring.

Jill was deeply involved with the Order of the Eastern Star. A 50-year member, she served as Past Matron of Myrtle Chapter No. 33 in Holliston, as well as a Deputy Grand Marshal and Grand Representative. She was also active within the Masonic community and helped raise money for the Knights Templar Eye Foundation.

History was another of Jill’s passions. She enjoyed attending heritage festivals, visiting the American Heritage Museum, and exploring Renaissance fairs. At home, one of her favorite ways to spend an evening was watching The Curse of Oak Island, a program she rarely missed.

In addition to her husband, George, Jill is survived by her son, Don Bolin; her siblings, B. Scott Holman, Gail Remby and her husband, John, and Dean Holman and his wife, Rochelle.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, located at 57 Hayden Rowe Street.

An Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at 4:30 PM at the funeral home.
