Janet S. (Tringle) Schwendenman, 81, of Medway, died peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Donald B. Schwendenman, who passed away on April 14, 2011. They shared 36 years of marriage.
Born in Franklin on February 9, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Ruth (Funk) Tringle. Janet grew up in Medway and attended Medway schools, later making her home in Milford for the past 48 years.
She proudly served as Junior Vice of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 367 in Medway for many years. A lifelong Red Sox fan, Janet enjoyed cheering on her favorite team.
She is survived by her sons, Harvey E. Eno of Northbridge and Brian Shaw of Holliston; her grandchildren, Lauren E. Shaw, Ryan T. Shaw, and Payton L. Shaw, all of Milford, and Montana R. Eno of Northbridge; as well as her great-granddaughter, Isabella Rose Lopez. She also leaves behind her sister, Nancy J. Eno of Maynard; her dearest and closest friend, Colleen I. Sabourin of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Janet was predeceased by her siblings, Kenneth R. Burt, Harvey F. Burt, and Maureen A. Tutterman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, October 3, at 10:30 a.m. at Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway (ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
