1950 - 2025
Born in Newton, Jim was the son of the late Timothy J. McCullough and Kathleen M. (Landry) McCullough. He was a proud graduate of Framingham North High School, Class of 1968.
Following graduation, Jim began his career in the construction trade as a carpenter. His skill, craftsmanship, and attention to detail soon led him to start his own business, allowing him the flexibility to devote more time to his wife and their two young sons. Known for his exceptional ability and work ethic, Jim later joined Clarke Distribution, where he became a respected specialist in installing Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances in showrooms throughout New England.
A man who valued family above all else, Jim found joy in the simple pleasures of life. In his younger years, he spent summers in Mattapoisett, and later discovered Moody Beach, Maine, where he and Anne created lifelong memories with their children—fishing, skimboarding, and building sandcastles. An avid skier, he favored Sugarbush Mountain in Vermont, and also enjoyed freshwater fishing. More than anything, Jim loved spending time with his sons on the baseball field and, in recent years, cheering on his grandchildren in their own sports endeavors.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Anne; his son, Keith J. McCullough and his wife Brandy of Bellingham; his daughter-in-law, Dr. Laura McCullough of Medfield; and his five beloved grandchildren, Declan, Catherine, Addison, Paige, and Nolan. He also leaves behind his siblings, Steven McCullough, Paul McCullough and his wife Charlene, Kathleen Gill and her husband David, and Anne Watson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Kelly and her husband Gerald Husted, and his brother-in-law, J. Lawrence Ciccolo and his wife Suzanne. Jim was predeceased by his son, Craig E. McCullough, who passed away in 2018; his sister, Joan Katsines, and her husband Peter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 12, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 11, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306, or online at www.t2t.org, or to a charity of one’s choice.
Jim will be remembered for his warmth, quiet strength, craftsmanship, and the deep love he had for his family — a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
