James G. “Mac” McEwan, 67, of Franklin
1958 - 2025

Shirley lived a life filled with warmth, energy, and devotion to the family she loved so dearly. She enjoyed many pastimes throughout her long life, but especially cherished her years as an avid bowler, even appearing on Candlepins for Cash. Her love of gardening brought her joy, but nothing compared to the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the heart of her world.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Randy Hopkins and his wife, Mary Ann, of Mendon, and Garry Hopkins and his wife, Karla, of Hopedale. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren—Brian and his wife, Sarah; Jason and his wife, Christy; Kimberly; and Jill Hopkins—and five great-grandchildren: Owen, Elsie, Bodie, Everett, and Lily. She was predeceased by her sister, Carol Perkins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25th from 9:30–11:00 a.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St., with a funeral home service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place afterward in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellesley.
