A graduate of Northbridge High School, Jim proudly served in the Army National Guard (Whitinsville – Yankee Division). He went on to build a career as a Class A truck driver, working for Worcester Quality Foods, Leaseway Car Hauling, and Patriot Environmental Demolition.
Known for his outgoing personality, Jim enjoyed time spent with friends and will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy A. Heney of Northbridge; his brother, Steven Heney and his wife Meg of Englewood, FL; his three daughters, Samantha, Courtney, and Nicole; seven grandchildren; and three nieces. He was predeceased by his father, Henry, and two brothers, Michael and Douglas Heney.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Providence Road, Northbridge. Services are under the care of the Buma Funeral Home.
Donations may be made in Jim’s memory to St. Peter’s Church in Northbridge.
