Born on June 3, 1936, in Milford, MA, Jackie was the only child of Armand and Georgine (Lapierre) Fleurant. Raised in Upton, she attended Upton Public Schools and graduated from St. Mary’s High School (Milford) in 1954. She worked as a secretary to the Dean of Students at Clark University and later served for 20 years as Director of Personnel at Fenwal Company in Ashland.
Jackie leaves her son, Rev. Steven M. LaBaire, Pastor of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Upton, as well as cousins in both Canada and the United States.
She lived a full and faith-filled life—finding joy in gardening, traveling with her husband and son, and spending time with family in Quebec. Her faith gave her great strength. In her later years, as she struggled with dementia, time at home in Upton and meals out with friends brought her special comfort. She will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, at Saint Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon Street, Upton, MA. Her son, Rev. Steven M. LaBaire, will preside. Following cremation, a private burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Upton.
