Howard, known fondly as “Howie,” was a kindhearted man who loved making others laugh. He was a free spirit with a love for classic rock, antiquing, and good food. He shared unforgettable stories of riding his motorcycle and hitchhiking to Woodstock ’69. Howie’s physical presence will be deeply missed, but his memory and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is survived by his siblings, Marjorie E. Barrett of Stoughton, James S. Barrett of Brockton, and Paul E. Barrett of Middleboro. Howard also leaves behind many friends, his loyal caretakers, and a devoted community support team.
A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced at the Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main Street, Uxbridge. Burial will follow at Pinegrove Cemetery, Linwood Avenue, Northbridge.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Howard’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation New England Chapter at www.parkinsons.org/newengland.
