Harry L. Pond Jr. 81, of Milford
1944 - 2025

Born on June 20, 1944, he was the son of the late Harry L. Pond, Sr. and Ellen T. (Rowe) Pond. He was the beloved husband and High School Sweetheart of Patricia A. (Zampino) Pond for 59 years. Harry was a graduate of Milford High School Class of 1962. Over the years, he built a long and reliable career, beginning at Phillips International in Natick, then spending 30 years at Perini Corporation in Framingham as an Accounts Payable Manager, followed by roles at Milton CAT and Imperial Cars before retiring.

Harry lived a life centered around faith, service, and community. He was a dedicated member of the First Congregational Church of Milford, where he taught Sunday School, served as Superintendent of the Sunday School Program, and worked as a Deacon, contributing to various committees. He was also a faithful communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Milford, serving as a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Valencia Council #80, a former Grand Knight, and a Eucharistic Minister and Lector.

Deeply committed to his hometown, Harry served for many years as a Town Meeting Member in Milford. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, card games with friends, attending concerts with his wife and friends, and scratching lottery tickets. He was an avid Boston Sports enthusiast, always cheering on his favorite teams.

In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by his two daughters, Diane Luchini and her husband Joseph of Hopedale and Julie Miano and her husband Lou of Milford; and four grandchildren: Matthew Luchini of St. Petersburg, FL, Marissa Luchini of Shrewsbury, Anthony Miano of Milford and Benjamin Miano of Milford. He also leaves behind his two sisters, Linda (Pond) Tiberio of Blackstone and Karen (Pond) Homer or Blackstone; his nephews Raymond Tiberio of Blackstone and Harry Tiberio and his wife Kerrie of Lisbon NH and their son Noah Tiberio; and many more cherished relatives and friends.

Harry was predeceased by his in-laws Pasquale and Fannie Zampino, and brothers-in-law Herb Homer, Fred Tiberio and Mark Zampino. He also leaves behind his loyal yellow lab, Mr. Ryan Seacrest “The Dog.”

Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 23, 2025 from 2PM–4PM at The Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, MA 01757. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 5 East Main St., Milford, MA 01757, with burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Cemetery, 110 Medway Rd., Milford, MA.
