Harriet M. (Stewart) Ogilvie, 90, of Westborough
1935 - 2026

Born in Boston, Harriet was the daughter of the late Elias R. Stewart and Julia E. (Gullich) Stewart. She was raised in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School.

Harriet worked for many years as a customer service representative with South Shore Cooperative Bank and Dedham Cooperative Bank before her retirement. She was known for her warm personality, dedication, and ability to connect with people.

A woman of faith, Harriet was a former member of the Islington Community Church and later the First Congregational Church of Falmouth.

Known affectionately as “Sis” by family and friends, Harriet often reflected on how grateful she was for the wonderful life she had been given. She treasured her family, valued her friendships, and frequently spoke about the many adventures she and Rich enjoyed together throughout their marriage.

She is survived by her two sons, David R. Ogilvie and his wife Marillee of Hopedale, and Richard Ogilvie Jr. and his wife Annie of Manchester Center, Vermont. She was a devoted and loving Nana to Thompson, Colin and Margaret, Christopher, and Brandon, and a proud great-grandmother to William and Christian.

Harriet also leaves her brother, Russell Stewart. She was predeceased by her siblings, Roberta Morin, Margaret Bennett, and Alexander Stewart.

Harriet will be remembered for her gratitude, kindness, love of family, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments. Her warmth and positive spirit touched all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Harriet’s memory may be made to the American Red Cross.

Harriet’s legacy of love, appreciation for life, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
