Harold Gordon Irving Jr., 84, of Holliston
1941-2025

Gordon and Kristine made Holliston their home for more than 60 years, where they raised their children and built a life centered on family, community, and hard work. In 1964, Gordon founded Irving Trucking and Excavating, a business now proudly operated by his son, Mark. He took immense pride in the trucks and machinery he maintained with meticulous care, a reflection of his dedication and craftsmanship.

A passionate auto racing enthusiast, Gordon raced sprint cars and shared his love of racing with Mark. He also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson with friends and often took part in charity rides. Known for his big heart, warm personality, and quick humor, Gordon had a way of turning strangers into friends. He cherished time spent with his loved ones—especially watching his grandchildren enjoy summer days in his backyard pool.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kristine; his children, Mark Irving and his wife Ashley (Bennett), and their children, London and Graham of Franklin, MA; and Kimberly Irving of Natick, MA. He also leaves behind his cousin, Philip Witczak of Natick. Gordon was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Gibson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, October 11, at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 p.m. at Restaurant 45 in Medway.
