1940 - 2026
Wendy was raised in Hopkinton and graduated from Hopkinton High School in 1958. She earned her degree from Framingham State in 1962 and began a 38-year career teaching in the Ashland school system following college.
Wendy loved horses and especially enjoyed horseback riding. She also had a passion for travel and particularly cherished a memorable trip to England. A lifelong Boston Bruins fan, she enjoyed following the team throughout her life.
Wendy is survived by her sister-in-law, Pamela Varnum; niece, Devon Erskine; cousins, Cheryl and Leonard Goodman, and Robert Paolini and his wife, Peggy. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Varnum.
A private graveside service will be held at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Hopkinton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Baypath Humane Society.
