1977 - 2026
Gregory was born in Milford on May 13, 1977, the beloved son of Donna and Michael Lemieux. He spent his early childhood in Whitinsville before his family relocated to Wakefield, Massachusetts, where he attended Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School, graduating in 1995.
Following high school, Gregory continued his education at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, majoring in Electronic Engineering. During his studies, he completed an internship at Schneider Electric, an opportunity that led directly to his first professional position after college. That beginning grew into a prolific 20+ year career as a respected software engineer and leader within Schneider, where he managed a global team of talented professionals and earned the admiration of colleagues around the world.
Gregory had a deep love for cooking and found joy in experimenting in the kitchen—often turning whatever ingredients were available into a meal worth sharing. Feeding people was his love language, and he always made room at the table, especially for team members visiting from abroad. While he had many passions, Gregory’s greatest joy was found in fatherhood. He was a deeply devoted father to his son, Cassian, who was truly the center of his world. His sharp intellect was matched only by the pride and boundless love he felt for his son, whether they were sharing interests or simply spending time together.
A true nerd at heart, Gregory’s earliest loves were Star Wars and Star Trek, and he proudly collected memorabilia from both franchises and their many spinoffs. He was also a proud American who loved his country, enjoyed collecting munitions, and regularly supported local charities. Known affectionately to many as “Uncle Greg,” he had a kind heart and treasured time spent with family, communicating affection through their own uniquely off-colored sense of humor and love.
Gregory leaves behind his fiancé, Fayth Wallace, their cherished son, Cassian James Lemieux, and his loyal Puggle pup, Madix, of Whitinsville. He is also survived by his loving mother, Donna Lemieux, of Whitinsville; his brother Michael Lemieux Jr. of Charlton; his sister Jeanie Marino of Mendon; his niece Mercedez Lemieux of Winthrop; his nephews Michael Lemieux III and his wife Tessa of North Grosvenordale, Connecticut, and Matthew Lemieux of Holland, Massachusetts; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues.
He was predeceased by his sister, Tammy Lemieux, and his grandmother, Blanche Aubin. Gregory was profoundly loved by his family and will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at the Buma Funeral Home, 480 Church Street, Whitinsville, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gregory’s name to the Worcester County Food Bank or the EcoTarium.
