Gregory Christopher Leal, 66, of Hopkinton, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Born in Framingham, Greg was the son of the late Alice (Fitzgerald) Leal and George F. Leal Jr. He was the beloved husband of 39 years to Rachel (Dyer) Leal.
Greg had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time at the Woodville Rod & Gun Club, where he ran trap. Whether hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, or riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, he found joy in every opportunity to be outside.
A talented stained-glass artist, Greg also created artwork for his brother's books. He was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, especially making homemade salsa from the vegetables he grew. Greg was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics and loved attending games whenever possible. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Rachel, Greg is survived by his son, Joshua Leal; his siblings, George F. Leal III and his wife Pamela, Katherine Clemence and her husband William, Debra Leal, and Colleen Leal-Foden and her husband Vincent; his grandchildren, Jaz and Emerald; their mother, Candace Kulesa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Leal, and his sister, Christine Wisnewski.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chesmore Funeral Home, located at 57 Hayden Rowe Street in Hopkinton.
A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
