Frank Halsing, 87, of Mendon
1938 - 2025

Frank Halsing, a lifelong resident of Mendon, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at Hope Health Care after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Ann (Notturno) Halsing, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.

Born in Mendon at his grandparents’ home on Northbridge Road, Frank was the proud son of the late Carl and Doris (Kempton) Halsing. He cherished his Mendon roots and often shared with others how proud he was to have been born and raised there. Though he lived briefly in Bellingham and Milford, his heart always brought him back home to Mendon.

As a young man, Frank attended school in Mendon and worked at several of the town’s dairy farms. His strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude led him into a career in construction, where he became both a self-taught mechanic and heavy equipment operator. Whether operating a backhoe or a D10 bulldozer, Frank’s skill and dedication were admired by all who worked alongside him.

In addition to his beloved wife Ann, Frank leaves behind his three sons — Donnie Halsing and his wife Charlene of Virginia, Randy Halsing of Pennsylvania, and Carl Halsing of Mendon — as well as two grandsons, Jesse Halsing of Washington and Andrew Halsing and his wife Cyndi of Virginia, and one cherished great-granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Gabriel’s Church in Upton. Burial will be private at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
