1935 - 2026
Dotty was known for being thoughtful, generous, and endlessly resourceful. She never sought the spotlight, but her kindness, generosity, and easy laugh touched the lives of many throughout her life.
She is survived by her five children, Thomas Mahoney Jr., Gary Mahoney, Joseph Mahoney and his wife, Eunice, Janice Dunne and her husband, James, and Karen Lyon and her husband, Eric. She also leaves her grandsons, Shane Mahoney, Thomas Lyon and his wife, Alexandra, Joseph Lyon, Sean and Robert Dunne, and Mathew and Patrick Mahoney. She was predeceased by her brothers, Anthony, John, and Robert Cannata.
For the past four years, Dotty enjoyed her home at The Residence at Valley Farm in Ashland, where she was cared for by a loving staff.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 20th, from 5 to 7 PM at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, located at 854 Washington Street. A graveside service for family and close friends will be held on Wednesday, October 21st at 11 AM at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Holliston.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dotty’s memory to Holliston Pantry Shelf, located at 73 Charles Street in Holliston.
