Born on August 10, 1955, in Worcester, Donald was the son of the late Donald Joseph Henderson Sr. and Doris (Fisette) Henderson.
Donald attended Providence College before founding D.J. Henderson Architectural Woodworking. Through his dedication to craftsmanship and quality, he built a respected business serving clients and the community for many years before retiring in 2025.
In addition to his devoted wife, Patricia, Donald is survived by his son, Donald Henderson III and his wife Kathryn of Rochester; his daughter, Jennifer Henderson and her husband Matthew Lopatka of Ludlow; his brothers, Michael Henderson and his wife Diane of Pine Island, Florida, Daniel Henderson and his wife Kathy of Spencer, and Dennis Henderson and his wife Cynthia of Worcester; his sisters, Patricia May of Worcester, Suzanne Cordes and her husband Wayne of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Catherine Riley and her husband John of Templeton; his cherished grandchildren, Mya Gorski, Kenley Henderson, and William Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 20th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church on Mendon Street.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Donald's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101).
