1960 - 2026
Denis was always eager to lend a hand whenever the music program needed assistance—whether it was sending trucks to clear sand from the parking lot for marching rehearsals so we could practice safely, organizing the July 4th fireworks to benefit local organizations like the BFOM, or offering his help with the Bellingham 300th anniversary and especially the traveling Vietnam Wall Memorial. His presence at all the Memorial Parades and countless other events was a testament to his commitment.
As a board member, Denis played a pivotal role in securing official non-profit status for the BFOM and organized our annual Golf Tournament fundraiser for many years. Above all, Denis truly cared about our music students and program. He always made time to stop and ask how we were doing, how the band sounded, and what we were working on.
Denis will be truly missed at their concerts and community events, and the organization is profoundly grateful for his many years of devoted service to Bellingham. May he rest in peace.
