Born in Lynn, Deirdre was the daughter of the late Vernon and Virginia (Larocque) Farquhar. She was raised and educated in Lynn and proudly graduated from Lynn Classical High School.
Before retiring, Deirdre spent time working as a nurse’s aide and was deeply dedicated to her role as a homemaker, caring for her family with love and devotion.
She found great joy in cooking, sharing meals with loved ones, and traveling. Deirdre especially looked forward to her yearly trips to Lake George, a tradition she enjoyed for 14 consecutive years. She also loved visiting Lake Dennison and Beaman’s Pond in Winchendon. Above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Richard, she is survived by her two sons, Richard V. Provost of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Steven Provost and his wife Hallie of Centralia, Washington. She also leaves behind her three sisters, Sandra Palmer, Sharon Farquhar, and Lorna Hendra, along with six beloved grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately with her family. Donations in Deirdre’s memory may be made to the St. Gabriel the Archangel Church at 151 Mendon Street in Upton.
