He was the husband of the late Elaine S. (Chalmers) Berglund.
Born on September 17, 1943, in Worcester, he was the son of the late Earl and Lily (Anderson) Berglund.
David earned a master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology from Assumption College and a master’s degree in Education from Worcester State College. He worked for 33 years as an employment counselor with the Massachusetts Department of Employment and Training, retiring in 2002.
In his free time, David enjoyed gaming, reading, and taking walks.
He is survived by his three sons, David C. MacGregor of Schenectady, NY; Stephen MacGregor of Oxford; and James MacGregor of Seabrook, NH; his two brothers, Raymond Berglund of Des Moines, IA, and Ted Berglund of Auburn; and nine grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Uxbridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made at the family’s discretion.
