Daniel E. Frieswick, 72, of Dudley
1962 - 2025

Dan was a proud 1980 graduate of Milford High School and went on to dedicate much of his professional life to helping others. He was a certified E.M.T. and worked in healthcare and emergency services for many years. His career included working in post-operative care as a unit technician at University of Massachusetts Hospital for ten years, as well as positions with Alves Ruggerio Ambulance, UMass Medical Center, Steril-Med, and Knights Limousine. His work reflected his natural compassion and desire to care for those around him.

Known for his outgoing personality, Dan had a rare gift: he could talk to and make friends with anyone he crossed paths with. He brought energy wherever he went and was truly the life of any party. His laughter and jokes were unmistakable, often heard across the room, and his humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Dan loved sports, especially football and the Pats, and enjoyed cooking, Star Wars, Spider-Man, and collecting comic books. He was always eager to lend a hand, frequently volunteering to help others in need. Even long after his sons had aged out, he continued assisting Boy Scout Troop 273 with their yard sales, simply because it mattered to him.

Above all else, Dan cherished being a father. He was an amazing dad and friend to all, and his proudest role was raising his sons, whom he affectionately referred to as “my three sons.” Family was the center of his world, and his love for them defined his life.

Dan is survived by his sons, James and Matthew of Dudley and Brian of Millbury, their mother Susan Ward, and his siblings Nancy Phipps and her husband Wayne of Mendon, Robert Frieswick of Douglas, and his stepsisters Renata Parsons and Karen Eisenbiegler. He was predeceased by his brother, William O. Frieswick, sister, Barbara Dervishian, and step parents Sergio Scilipoti and Gail Frieswick.

He will be remembered for his compassion and free spirit, his generosity, and for always putting others before himself.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on December 30, 2025 from 9:00–11:00 AM at the BUMA-SARGEANT Funeral Home, 42 Congress Street, Milford, with a prayer service starting at 11:00 AM.

A private burial will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Milford.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
