1967 - 2026
Dan grew up in Marlborough and spent many summers in Dennis Port, MA, where he developed a lifelong love for Cape Cod and the beach. Those summers helped shape his appreciation for the ocean and became some of his most cherished memories.
For more than three decades, he worked for Shaw’s Supermarkets for more than 35 years, a career that reflected his loyalty, dedication, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Dan embraced life through a wide range of interests. In his free time, Dan enjoyed cooking, skiing, painting, riding rollercoasters, music, and anything related to cars—a passion he especially loved sharing with his children. Known for his gentle spirit, easygoing personality, and ever-present smile, Dan had a way of making others feel comfortable and welcome, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Above all, Dan was a devoted father. He leaves behind his children, Elise and Harrison Lowe of Northbridge, MA, who meant everything to him. They were the light of his life, his greatest pride, and the source of his deepest joy. He treasured every moment with them and took pride in guiding them, sharing his interests, and watching them grow.
Dan is also survived by his siblings: Michael (Laurie) Lowe of Hudson, Peter (Valerie) Lowe of Clinton, Gary (Stacy) Lowe of Hudson, and Ellen Lowe of Marlborough. He is additionally survived by his former wife, Cristi Lowe, and his mother-in-law, Joanne Ferguson, with whom he remained very close. He leaves behind his nieces and nephews—George, Peter Jr., Matthew, Courtney, Zachary, Jacob, and Carly—who fondly referred to him as “Uncle Dopey” because of his easygoing nature. He was predeceased by his nephew, Christopher Lowe, and is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dan was also preceded in death by his beloved dog, Synjin, who held a special place in his heart.
