Cheryl Ann Brote, 76, of Holliston
February 19, 1949 - October 6, 2025

Cheryl spent her early years in Malone, where she built lifelong friendships that remained close to her heart. After moving with her family to Worcester, MA, she graduated from Burncoat High School. She began her career in sales at Scandinavian Design in Norwood, working alongside her sister, and later joined Fortune Metal Finishing in Needham as an Inside Saleswoman, where she worked until her retirement in 2017.

Family was the center of Cheryl’s world. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren and cherished time spent around the table, sharing meals and laughter. Known affectionately as “Grammy” to both family and friends, she created lasting memories through her warmth, generosity, and the simple joy of cooking her loved ones’ favorite dishes.

Cheryl also loved to travel and spend time by the ocean, especially at the beaches of St. Pete Beach, Florida. Some of her happiest moments were family vacations to Disney and the Bahamas, and a special trip to Italy with her lifelong friends.

She is survived by her three children: Colleen Paccioretti and her husband, Joseph, of Quincy; Erica Kuharich and her husband, Eric, of Holliston; and Jay Brote and his partner, Angela Lilienthal, of Franklin. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren—Shane, Anthony, Maria, Jordyn, Evan, Ty, and Ethin—three great-grandchildren; her nieces, Shannon Costello and Brooke Smith; and her brother-in-law, Wayne Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church in Holliston, followed by interment in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cheryl’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
