March 4th, 1948 - October 11th, 2025
Born in Boston on March 4, 1948, he was the son of the late Charles and Virginia (Mancini) Ligotti of Winthrop and Falmouth. Charles was the eldest of three children and is survived by his sisters, Virginia Compton and Mary Hollis. He was also the cherished uncle of Aaron.
Despite suffering severe brain damage early in life, Charlie’s presence radiated warmth, love, and a pure spirit that touched everyone who knew him. He spent most of his years at the Wrentham Developmental Center, where he received not only exceptional care but also true friendship and compassion. His devoted caregivers became a second family—people who understood and celebrated him for the beautiful soul he was.
Charlie communicated joy without words. His gentle gestures, twinkling eyes, and quiet humor were his language of love. He adored his family and those around him, and they, in turn, adored him.
He is now at peace, reunited with his parents in heaven and embraced in the eternal love of Christ.
Charlie will be remembered always for his innocence, his strength, and the light he brought into the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
