
1939 - 2026
Charles was born in Framingham on November 24, 1939, and was the son of the late John and Catherine (Nasios) Koshivas. He grew up in Medway, graduated from Medway High School, and was a resident of Medway and Franklin for his entire life, remaining deeply rooted in the community he loved.
A man who cherished the land, Charles loved farming and was the longtime owner of Fairmount Fruit Farm in Franklin. His dedication to agriculture and hard work became a defining part of his life and legacy.
When he wasn’t tending to the farm, Charles enjoyed time away with family, spending time on Prince Edward Island and wintering at Bradenton Beach, Florida.
He is survived by his sons; John Koshivas and his wife Cheryl and their children Alexis and John R. of Franklin; Charles R. Koshivas and his wife Marilyn of Franklin and sons Charles J. “CJ” and his wife Loren and their daughter Penelope and James P. Koshivas and his wife Haley and their sons Joseph Peter, Ethan and Lincoln, all of Franklin; and Mark Kinder and his wife Kay and their children Caleb, Abby and Micah of Maryland.
Charles is also survived by his brother Peter Koshivas and his wife Maryann of Medway, two sisters Ethel Koshivas of Medway and Sylvia Young and her husband Roland of Uxbridge, and his nephew Ernie Stockton of Bellingham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, January 31 from 10 a.m. – Noon in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway followed by a funeral service at Noon in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Medway.
