Born on July 20, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts, Carol was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Milliken) Conley and was educated in the Boston public school system.
Carol proudly served her country in the United States Army, demonstrating the courage, discipline, and dedication that would characterize her throughout her life. Following her military service, she worked as a weaver at the former Schuster Woolen Mill in Douglas, where she was known for her strong work ethic and quiet determination.
She was the devoted wife of the late Edward P. Pelletier.
Carol is survived by her stepchildren, Michael Pelletier and his wife Shirley, Kim Pelletier, Robert Pelletier, and Patricia and her husband James. She also leaves behind her niece, Deborah Sisk and her husband David; her cousins, Gail and Mary Elizabeth; her great-nephew Bryan; her great-niece Tracy; seven step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; seven great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great-nephew.
She was also blessed by the friendship of Linda and Tom and was deeply grateful for the compassionate care she received from her caregivers, Penny, Amanda, and Maryanne, as well as the staff of Jewish Healthcare Hospice.
Carol found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, and spending quiet moments reflecting and relaxing. Her patience, gentle spirit, and appreciation for simple joys were among the qualities that endeared her to those who knew her.
She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the steady presence she brought to the lives of her family and friends.
