1944 - 2025
Carl worked at Aubuchon Hardware in Spencer and was later transferred to the Milford location. He went on to build a career at Data General and EMC, and eventually worked as a kitchen designer. At home, Carl was known for bringing joy to the neighborhood—hosting baseball and wiffle ball games and joining the kids for sledding in the winter, always staying outside until the very end.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Bourie; his son Michael Bourie; his daughter Sharlene Costa and son-in-law Michael Costa; his brother George Bourie; and his two grandchildren, Sydney and Sean Costa. He was predeceased by his parents, Carroll and Jennie (Anderson) Bourie; his son Brian Bourie; and his sisters, Marsha Nelson and Virginia Bourie.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 A.M. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Winter Street, with burial to take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar Street in Milford.
