Born in Milford, Beverly was the daughter of the late James H. McGrath and Martha F. (Burns) McGrath. She attended the former St. Mary’s Grammar School and graduated from the former St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1951.
Beverly began her working career at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale before working at MC Machine Shop in Hopedale. She later worked at Natick Labs, where she eventually retired.
Beverly spent much of her life in Hopedale and Harwich. During retirement, she and Carl also enjoyed several years living at The Villages in Florida. In recent years, she resided in Franklin to be closer to her family.
She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale and a longtime member of the church’s Women’s Club. Beverly was also a member of the Hopedale Women’s Bowling League and an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Her favorite role, however, was being the number-one supporter of her grandchildren, proudly attending their many sporting events and activities.
Beverly is survived by her four children, Michael Bresciani and his wife, Maureen, of Uxbridge; Paul Bresciani of Chatham; Jane Gallagher of Milford; and Carla Jones and her husband, Michael, of Uxbridge. She also leaves nine grandchildren, Kristen Bresciani, Luca Bresciani, Katie Eppley, Kevin Bresciani, Kelley Gallagher, Cameron Gallagher, Kerri Ciarcia, Meghan Jones, and Erin Jones; four great-grandchildren, Kendall Bresciani, Abigail Eppley, Calvin Eppley, and Cora Bresciani; her sister, Mary Bresciani of Milford; and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Beverly’s wishes, cremation will take place.
Visiting hours will be held at Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, located at 44 Congress Street, Milford, on a date and time to be announced, followed by a Prayer Service.
Burial of her cremains will follow at Hopedale Village Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Countryside Healthcare Memory Care Activities Fund, c/o Countryside Healthcare of Milford, located at 1 Countryside Drive in Milford.
