Bernardina M. Barbaresco, 95, of Millbury
1930 - 2025

Bernardina was the cherished daughter of the late Thomaz G. and Maria (Jaques) DaSilva and the beloved wife of Aristides Barbaresco, who passed away in 2009. She later made her home in the United States, moving from Brazil in 2009, bringing with her a warmth and spirit that touched everyone she met.

She is survived by her daughter, Tess Reisler of Millbury, and her treasured granddaughter, Quenia Batista, along with her two great-grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Batista, who were truly the joy of her life. Bernardina was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear son, Gelasio Barbaresco, and four siblings.

A woman of unwavering belief, a devout Catholic, Bernardina’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her devotion was reflected not only in prayer, but in the kindness, patience, and generosity she extended to all. She loved collecting rosaries, each one holding special meaning and symbolizing her spirituality.

Bernardina was known for her elegance and personal style. She loved hats and always said that hats were the best and most chic, proudly owning 22 hats, each carefully chosen and worn with confidence and grace.

She also found happiness in the simple pleasures of daily life. She loved caring for animals and took special joy in raising chickens, especially enjoying the quiet ritual of collecting fresh eggs each day—a moment that brought her peace.

Above all, Bernardina will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to family, her faith, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and spirit will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
