Barbara L. Heldenbergh, 87, in Uxbridge
September 16, 1938 - October 14, 2025

Born on September 16, 1938, in Uxbridge, MA, Barbara was the cherished daughter of the late Frederick W. and Mildred P. (Aldrich) Kollett. She was the beloved wife of Richard D. Heldenbergh, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage since August 10, 1963, and the devoted mother of four sons — Glenn, Shawn, Brian, and the late Scott Heldenbergh.

Barbara’s life was defined by her deep faith, loving heart, and unwavering devotion to her family. A lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Millville, she lived her faith daily through acts of kindness, compassion, and service to others. Her strength, humility, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her.

Professionally, Barbara worked in banking, where her attention to detail, integrity, and work ethic earned the respect of her colleagues and community. Outside of work, she found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Known affectionately as Barb & Rick, she and her husband were a true team—sharing a life built on love, laughter, and faith.

Barbara had a special gift for making every moment meaningful. Whether she was baking her famous apple pie, getting down on the floor to play with her children and grandchildren, or gathering the family around the table, she poured love into everything she did.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, and their sons: Glenn and his wife Christine, Shawn and his wife Joanna, and Brian and his wife Nicole. She also leaves behind her brother, Gordon Kollett of Uxbridge, along with her adored 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who will forever treasure the love and memories she gave them. Barbara was predeceased by her siblings Raymond, Francis, Elaine, Evelyn, Lillian, and MaryJane, all of whom she held close in her heart.
