Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Jeanne (Boutin) and Maurice Cormier.
Annette graduated from Our Lady’s High School in Newton in 1953. Throughout her life, she enjoyed playing cards, bowling, completing crossword puzzles, and reading true crime mysteries. She also treasured time spent with family and friends and was known for her warmth, kindness, and caring spirit.
Above all else, Annette was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who brought love and support to everyone around her. Her family remembers her as a wonderful “Memere” whose presence will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Michael McLaughlin and his wife Laura of Mendon, Paul McLaughlin and his wife Cathy of Hopkinton, and Patricia Johnson and David Drinkwater of Whitinsville.
She also leaves behind her sisters, Vivian Akillian of Marlborough and Lorraine Malcolm of Mashpee; her grandchildren, Marie McLaughlin, Nicole McLaughlin, Grace McLaughlin, Cody Johnson, James Johnson, and Daniel Johnson; and her great-grandchildren, Ronin, Bodhi, and Delaney, along with many nieces and nephews.
Annette was predeceased by her son, John M. McLaughlin; her grandson, Michael P. McLaughlin; her former husbands, Edward Brendan McLaughlin and Bertram Lockhart; and her siblings, Paul Cormier, Raymond Cormier, and Jeanne Butler.
Her family also extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Advinia Care in Northbridge for the love and support they provided over the past six years.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Annette’s life on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe Street, Hopkinton.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
