Alane was born in Milford, MA, the daughter of the late Henry Charzenski and the late Henen (Wojnowski) Charzenski. She attended the former St. Mary’s Grammar School and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School, Class of 1965. She was also a graduate of secretarial school in Boston MA.
Alane was first employed as a young woman at the former Hill Food Service located in Milford MA. Following that, she worked at the Ealling Corporation in Natick, MA; at Digital Equipment Corporation in Hudson, MA; and later at Compaq Computer Corporation and Intel Corporation, where she continued her professional career.
Alane loved to knit & crochet and even spin her own yarn. She also had raised alpacas at one point in time on her property.
She is survived by her two sons: Michael J. Baker and his wife Martine L’Etoile of Nottingham, NH, and Christopher P. Baker of Milford, MA. She also leaves her four siblings: Susan Kozlowski of Milford, MA; Kathryn Charzenski of Milford, MA; James Charzenski and his wife Christine of Milford, MA; and Lorri Newton and her husband Richard Newton of Corpus Christi, TX; along with several nieces and nephews.
Alane was the sister of the late Jean H. Charzenski who died in 1951.
In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Her funeral will be held Saturday (May 9th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford, MA. Burial of her cremains will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford, MA. A visiting hour will be held Saturday (May 9th) from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the Funeral Mass.
