1947-2025

Adriana Dold, of Blackstone and formerly of Sherborn, a cherished and vibrant soul, departed this world on June 2, 2025, at the Milford Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. Born on May 8, 1947, in Elberton, Georgia, Adriana's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and pioneering spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew her. She brought light and joy into the lives of her family, friends, and community, and her legacy will continue to inspire. She was the wife of the late James P. Dold, Sr. who died in 2008

Adriana's journey began as the beloved daughter of Fred and Ruth Van Hoof, and she grew up alongside her siblings with the rolling hills of Georgia as their playground. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Henry Van Hoof. However, the bond of family remained her guiding star, as she poured her love into her own children, James P. Dold, Jr. and his wife Jen of Hopkinton, MA, and Courtenay L. McQueston and her husband Mark of Blackstone, MA. Her sisters, Connie Holcomb of GA and Marie Brutzman of SC, remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Adriana's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as the proud owner and operator of Dold Marketing in Blackstone, with a previous tenure in Sherborn. A trailblazer in her field, she was among the first women to own a company in the region. Her legacy in business was further cemented when her daughter, Courtenay, joined her, continuing the tradition of strong family ties and professional excellence.

A grandmother extraordinaire, Adriana adored her grandchildren, Ashley, Makala, Jake, and Cooper. They were the apples of her eye, and she cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was in Georgia or at her own home. Her love extended to her nieces, nephews, and her beloved dogs, Hazel and Bentley, who brought her immeasurable comfort and companionship.

Adriana's zest for life was evident in her many interests. She loved to travel, explore new places, and indulge in the simple pleasure of shopping. Her green thumb was apparent in her beautiful garden, a testament to her nurturing nature. And her unique fascination with octopuses was just one of many quirks that made Adriana truly one-of-a-kind.

Adriana had an infectious laugh and a spirit that drew people to her. She was the life of every gathering, sharing her wisdom and humor in equal measure. A funny, wise, and spirited woman, she made an indelible mark on the world through her kindness and strength of character.

Adriana Dold lived a life that was as colorful and multifaceted as she was. Her impact will be felt for generations to come, and her memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
