Connie Francis‘ “Pretty Little Baby” was all over TikTok in 2025, and that earned her the #1 spot on two of TikTok’s year-end charts.
The track, an obscure song from 1962, was named TikTok’s top global song of the year, as well as the top song in the U.S.
The song was used over 28.4 million times in TikTok videos, translating to over 68.6 billion views. The popularity even prompted Francis to join TikTok in 2025.
Francis, who passed away in July at age 87, was a bit surprised when she first heard the song had gone viral. She told ABC Audio in June, “I thought, like, there was a virus in the computer or something like that.”
The song wasn’t a hit when it originally came out and wasn’t even one that stood out to Francis.
“I recorded so many songs that I don’t even remember ‘Pretty Little Baby,"” she said. “I had to listen to it to familiarize myself with it.”
