MILFORD – Some Woodland Elementary School fifth-graders have come together to make a difference for local veterans. Teacher Jenn Alger worked with her students to collect food, clothing, and personal hygiene items in support of Thanks To Yanks, a nonprofit dedicated to helping military members, veterans, and their families.
Thanks To Yanks founder Michael Shain told Patch that the organization has partnered with Alger and her students for many years, praising their continued commitment to community service.
