WESTBOROUGH – After nearly four years, the Fisher Street pedestrian bridge in Westborough is once again open — and it’s entirely new.

MassDOT held a ribbon-cutting this week to celebrate the completion of the $2 million replacement project. The original bridge, built in 1915, was replaced with a modern structure designed to better serve pedestrians and improve accessibility.

According to the Community Advocate, the bridge crosses the MBTA tracks and connects to the MBTA station, nearby homes, and local businesses. It also provides access to Westborough’s Charm Bracelet Trail System.
